Brother Freedom is a Buddhist monk in the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. He is passionate about transforming the wellbeing and connection of individuals, communities and society through the practice of applied mindfulness.

Zen monk Brother Freedom grew up in Germany to Croatian parents and dedicated himself to the practice of mindfulness and meditation.
Trained by Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, he shared his skills over the course of fourteen years at Plum Village centres across Europe and the United States.
He was given the name Ngộ Không, meaning Freedom by his teacher. Following the passing of his teacher, Brother Freedom has transitioned into the role of a distinguished
teacher himself, imparting his wisdom to people around the globe. His most recent role was as Abbot at Deer Park Monastery, California, and has taught mindfulness for communities,
universities and companies, around the world.
Brother Freedom is known for the joy and warmth he radiates wherever he goes. He is passionate about the transformative power of applied mindfulness practices, and wants to help
individuals, communities, and societies develop greater wellbeing and connection.
Known for his open-hearted approach and occasional foot-in-mouth moments, he encourages all of us to not take ourselves too seriously.
