Sarah Stone

Sarah has a long history of championing the rights of vulnerable people and groups. In her role as Executive Director for Samaritans in Wales she encourages people to talk about suicide and seek help before problems get overwhelming.

Prior to her role at Samaritans, Sarah was the Deputy Commissioner for Older People in Wales where she helped establish strategy and organisational support for the Older People’s Commissioner, whose role is to champion the rights and interests of older people in Wales. Sarah also helped drive Dignifed Care?, a landmark piece of research looking at compassionate care for older people on hospital wards. She has also been Director of Policy and Public Affairs for Age Concern Cymru.
