Kareem is a mindfulness teacher dedicated to helping young people develop self-awareness and self compassion, so they can steer their own lives and contribute to their communities. He has been active in the youth mindfulness space for many years, and is a Director and mentor at Inward Bound Mindfulness Education UK (iBme UK), an organisation which offers mindfulness retreats and programmes for teens and young adults.

Kareem has spent many years developing and contributing towards initiatives for mindfulness in education and in mindful community building for youth and people of colour, as a facilitator in peer- led settings, and teaching on courses and retreats.

He is passionate about the intersections of contemplative practice, creativity and social justice. He is especially interested in listening circles and relational practices that build community safety and trust.

Kareem also works as a language interpreter in psychotherapy sessions for Arabic speaking refugees
