Esther is a Trauma Sensitive Yoga facilitator and trainer (TCTSY-F), a counsellor, somatic psychotherapist and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EDMR) clinician.
Esther completed her certification under the supervision of TCTSY pioneer David Emerson. She is the Co-founder of Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga Australia, and the Founder of Trauma Sensitive Yoga Nederland. Esther is also part of the Training Faculty (TCTSY-T) of the Trauma Centre at Justice Resource Institute Boston.
Esther has a particular interest in individuals with complex trauma, and psychosomatic complaints. Also, people with complex life stories, who may be experiencing some form of anxiety, depression or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as a result of their experiences.
Trauma sensitive yoga and psychotherapy can help people safely release deeply hidden emotions. Understanding the neuroscience of trauma can be transformative for anyone working in the field of mental health, or experiencing difficult states of mind.
