Komal is a dedicated child and adolescent psychiatrist with a wealth of experience in mental health care. As a specialist registrar in the NHS, she has honed her skills in providing compassionate and effective treatment to young people.
In addition to her work in the NHS, Komal is actively involved in research on psychedelic-assisted therapy for depression. Her role as a therapist in clinical trials allows her to contribute to the development of innovative treatments that could change the landscape of mental health care.
Her commitment to improving mental health extends beyond her professional work. As a volunteer with PsyCare UK, Komal has been instrumental in providing compassionate crisis intervention and harm reduction services at music events and festivals. Her passion for this work led her to co-facilitate volunteer integration circles, helping other volunteers to reflect and grow.
Despite her passion for her work, Komal has not been afraid to question the status quo and push for change. Her experiences with PsyCare UK have given her the confidence to challenge traditional approaches and provide care that is truly patient-centred.
