An advanced yoga teacher specialising in Neurogenic Yoga and TRE (tension and trauma releasing exercises), Freya’s approach is informed by her own journey with “mental health” which has led to an unshakeable trust in the wisdom and healing potential of the human body. She is endlessly fascinated by how one’s experience of inner and outer worlds can be so transformed through embodiment and is deeply inspired by the philosophy of Nondual Shaiva Tantra and its invitation to fully embrace all that we experience in this human life – light, dark and everything in between. Although no longer her profession, Freya previously trained as a veterinary surgeon and holds a PhD in Wildlife Epidemiology. Her current work is an expression of both rigorous scientific training and deeply lived, embodied experience.
Freya lives with her husband and son in an intentional farming community, and teaches in-person in Worcestershire and Herefordshire, and online.
