Nadine is a carer and social entrepreneur who is passionate about waking people up to the ways we can help ourselves stay well. She supported her father in his journey with bipolar and dementia, and is now using that experience to empower others.
Nadine is the Founder & Director of N.ableD (pronounced ‘enabled’) – a social enterprise organisation supporting people at home who struggle with their physical or mental health, to make better lifestyle choices as a way to directly improve their health and well-being.
The idea behind N.ableD was based on Nadine’s own experiences of seeing the physical and mental decline of her father after he was discharged home from a three month stay in a psychiatric hospital. Nadine is a firm believer in prevention being better than cure when it comes to realising long-lasting good health and has recently started public speaking as a way to share her personal story with others.
Nadine thinks good nutrition, exercise and learning to live in the present moment, are some of the best tools we have to manage our mental and physical health.
