Leonora Klein is a writer and non-practicing barrister, who has worked for many years with asylum seekers and survivors of  Domestic Abuse. Leo is passionate about human rights, and volunteered for many years with the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture.

After stepping back from the Bar to focus on writing, Leo completed the prestigious M.A. in Life Writing at the University of East Anglia, where she was awarded a distinction and was the Winner of PFD Life Writing Prize. She is the author of A Very English Hangman: The Life and Times of Albert Pierrepoint 

Leonora has a close family member who has experienced periods of mental illness and she feels strongly, that there is a need for a more compassionate and holistic approach to treatment and recovery.
